Miguel Ángel Quevedo Papers / Colección de Miguel Ángel Quevedo, 1958-2008

The Miguel Ángel Quevedo Papers collection contains documents, correspondence, and news clippings pertaining to Miguel Ángel Quevedo and his sister, Rosa Margarita Quevedo, primarily of their life in exile in Venezuela after the Cuban Revolution. Letters include Miguel Ángel Quevedo’s difficulties in keeping his publishing business, including Bohemia, ongoing.

La Colección de Miguel Ángel Quevedo contiene documentos, cartas, y recortes de periódicos relacionados con Miguel Ángel Quevedo y su hermana, Rosa Margarita Quevedo, principalmente sobre sus vidas en Venezuela al irse al exilio luego de la Revolución de Cuba. La colección incluye cartas relacionadas con las dificultades que Quevedo vivió tratando de mantener su empresa de publicación en marcha.

Nitin Jayaswal Papers, 1995-2000

Design drawings, photographs, and other papers relating to sculptures and installations including “Infrastructures” and “Chamberworks” (a Master’s Research Project Installation) created by artist and designer Nintin C. Jayaswal.

James H. Gregg Papers, 1943-2001 (significantly expanded and newly revised finding aid)

Artwork, books, memoirs/genealogical materials, photographs, and other memorabilia belonging to James H. Gregg, University of Florida professor of microbiology, artist, and World War 2 veteran.

Estelle Aden Theater Teaching Collection, 1917-2019 (Bulk: 1966-2019)

Performing Arts research collection comprising materials collected by Professor Estelle Aden related to her own research and for theater classes she taught with materials on artists, entertainers, writers, and playwrights.

Lawrence V. Smith Papers, 1958-2012 (Bulk: 1958-1959)

Collection contains photographs of Lawrence V. Smith and John Baxter creating the Chemistry for Today film course program. Also includes news clippings about the program, biographical information on Smith, and further information on the program.

James L. Wattenbarger Papers, 1936-2015 (significantly expanded and newly revised finding aid)

Publications, reports, conference materials, awards, scrapbooks, photographs, and audiovisual material related to James L. Wattenbarger and the history of Florida’s Community Colleges.

Subject files, committee/organization files, and other records belonging to environmental activist Francine Robinson who was heavily active in organizations like the Florida League of Conservation Voters (FLCV), Florida Watch Institute, Friends of the Earth (FOE), Coalition for Responsible Genetic Research (CRGR), Sierra Club, Tree Watch Inc., and others.

Mexican Documents Collection / Guía de la Colección de Documentos Mexicanos, 1900-1962 (significantly expanded and newly revised finding aid)

The collection contains documents and photographs pertaining to Mexico, including maps and brochures that promote tourism in Mexico from Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), Mexicana Airlines, Barbachano’s Travel Service, National Railways of Mexico, Dirección General de Turismo, Yucatan Trails Travel Agency, American Airlines System, various hotels in Mexico, Illinois Central Railway, Simpsons Tours, and United Air Lines.
